Veterinary neurologist reviewing a clinical case

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about our consultation process, services, pricing, and how your case is handled — from submission to specialist report.

NeuroVet Consult is a specialist remote consultation (telemedicine) platform for veterinary neurology and neurosurgery. We provide diagnostic imaging interpretation, second opinions, clinical management guidance, and surgical planning.

Every case is reviewed personally by Dr. Svetoslav Penchev, and the final opinion is always issued by the consultant.

No. This platform is not an emergency service. If your pet is experiencing severe pain, active seizures, acute paralysis, collapse, severe respiratory distress, or a rapidly worsening condition, seek immediate in-person veterinary care.

No. A remote consultation supports your veterinarian with specialist interpretation and guidance, but it does not replace a hands-on clinical examination or emergency care. The opinion is based on the history, materials, and imaging you provide.

For pet owners: neurological consultation, with optional CT, MRI, or multiple imaging study review, and live consultation via Google Meet.

For veterinarians: neurology second opinion, radiograph / CT / MRI interpretation, case management, and surgical planning.

Pet owners do not need an account — submission is always available as a guest. Veterinarians may optionally sign in, but a guest submission is the default.

The final price is the service base price multiplied by the turnaround multiplier you select. The exact total is always shown in the summary panel before payment — there are no hidden fees.

Express — within 12 hours. Priority — within 24 hours. Standard — within 48 hours. Extended Review — within 1 to 5 days. You choose the turnaround that fits your case during submission.

There are two complementary paths. You can upload reports, photographs, lab results, and short videos directly (PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC), up to a few hundred megabytes per case.

For full CT and MRI studies, paste a secure shared link from WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. You may add as many links as your case requires.

Once payment is confirmed, your case enters the review queue. The consultant examines the history, materials, and any linked studies, and prepares an evidence-based opinion.

If additional information is needed for a thorough review, your case is placed on hold and you are contacted directly before the report is issued. You then receive a detailed bilingual consultation report.

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections and files are stored securely with access restricted to authorised personnel. We handle personal data in line with GDPR, including your rights to data export and deletion.

Only with your explicit consent. During submission you may optionally agree to anonymised educational use of your case. This is entirely separate from the consultation itself and is never required.
